Early Sunday morning, a deluge rained down upon Pocono Raceway, leaving the track completely soaked and the grass flooding over with water. The rains finally stopped around noon, and track drying quickly commenced with the goal of a 3:45 PM start. The surface actually got nearly dry with the exception of weepers around 3 PM ... but then, it began to rain once again, and it quickly became too late for the track to be ready for racing in time. After an hour or so of intermittent showers, NASCAR officially postponed the Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 to Monday. The race will be run starting at 12:15 PM EDT, with race coverage starting at Noon on ESPN. For those of you hankering for pre-race coverage, SPEED will have a special edition of NASCAR RaceDay beginning at 11 AM.
